Exterior Lighting Guidelines Revision

March 13, 2025

We would like to inform you that Section 7.25 - Exterior Lighting of the Architectural Guidelines has been revised. This revision was presented and approved during the Board of Directors meeting held on February 25th, 2025.

You can find the updated document, Arch Design Standards Rev 2025-03, attached to this communication, as well as available on the TMT portal.

  • Reorganized the Exterior Lighting section to distinguish types of lighting (building vs landscape vs security)
  • Added limit of 3,000K maximum for light color temperature
  • Clarified that spotlights are not allowed except for motion-activated security lights that must be set to turn off after no more than five minutes.
  • Clarified that colored lights (blue, green, red, etc.) are not allowed except for holidays.

House Painting Request Changes

November 7, 2024

The Architectural Control Committee (ACC) has worked with each of the three major paint suppliers to develop a partial list of colors that meet the requirements of Ancala’s Architectural Standards. By selecting a “pre-approved” color from one of these lists (website links below), homeowners may streamline the processing of their application.

Sherwin-Williams: Sherwin-Williams Homeowners Association Color Archive

Dunn Edwards: Ancala / Approved Color Palette — Color-Ark® Pro

Benjamin Moore: Ancala HOA Approved Colors – Arizona Paint Supply

  • You are not required to select from one of these lists
  • If you do select from these lists…
    • You do not need to submit a sample swatch with your application.
    • You still need to paint a 4’x4’ square on your house
  • The minimum Light Reflective Value (LRV) for body color is 15 for all of Ancala. Some listed colors may have a below 15 and would therefore only be acceptable for trim.
  • The maximum LRV for body or trim color depends on which subdivision your house is in (see map). To confirm which parcel you live in, contact The Management Trust or check the portal.

A revised Paint Request Form is now available on the TMT Portal.

Political Signs

September 4, 2024

Several homeowners have asked if Ancala allows political signs to be displayed on homeowner property. The short answer is 'Yes'. The State and City laws permit political signs to be displayed. However, the signs must be limited to election topics (for or against a specific candidate or proposition). Religious and social topics are not allowed. Also, the signs must be removed 17 days after the election. Please respect your neighbors right to display their signs.

Thank you,
The Management Trust

Annual Drive-Through Compliance Check – Golf Course

August 29, 2024

Happy Thursday! This is a friendly reminder that our annual drive-through compliance check on the golf course side (backyard of houses) will begin in two weeks. Please note that the most common compliance
issues identified during these checks include chipped paint on retaining walls, fence wall paintings, house exterior, and bird reflective deterrents (spinners), among others. If you notice any of these issues on your property, please ensure that they are corrected or maintained.

Thank you for your understanding, and if you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me.
