The Ancala HOA Board met today (10/31) to address the immediate clean-up needs of the community in regard to last night’s large rain event and the expected rain tonight and tomorrow.
- Today 10/31: Paul and several board members tried to clear as much small debris from the culverts as possible before more rain comes tonight and tomorrow.
- Tomorrow 11/1: Steady rain expected all day.
- Monday 11/2: Landscapers will come and clean roads and larger debris from the culverts.
- Tuesday 11/3: Street sweepers will come through the community for a final clean-up of the streets.
The following policies will be waived during the upcoming storm:
- Sunday Vendor Access: Vendors will be allowed to access the community on Sunday (11/1) between 7am - 5pm to assist with homeowner clean up.
- Overnight Parking: If you are worried about debris collecting in your driveway and are fearful you would not be able to enter or exit your home, overnight road parking will be allowed Saturday and Sunday (10/31-11/1).
- The roving patrol will start early today (10/31) to monitor safety during trick-or-treating and this rain event.
If needed, free sandbags are available for Scottsdale residents at self-service locations provided by the city. These facilities are self-serve and open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Limit 10 per person. Scottsdale facilities include:
- District 1 Police Headquarters: 7601 E. McKellips Road
- Solid Waste Transfer Station: 8417 E. Union Hills Drive
- Scottsdale Water Campus: Near 88th Street and Union Hills Drive
Thank you to all who have already been out helping to clean our streets. Stay safe over the next 24-48 hours during these very unusual rain events.
